Parker LORD Drupal Multisite Digital Operations

Overview

Parker LORD operated a complex Drupal multisite installation on Acquia, supporting product information, technical documents, search experiences, and marketing content across multiple web properties. The work called for practical senior Drupal support across several related initiatives rather than one isolated feature.

The challenge

Visitors needed better ways to search technical documentation, compare product properties, and discover relevant product content. Editorial and marketing teams also needed cleaner ways to reuse product information across sites and connect blog content to related products and engagement workflows.

The platform needed improvements that respected the existing Acquia-hosted multisite structure while making day-to-day product operations easier to maintain.

What I built

I implemented Solr-backed off-site search capabilities for external document indexing and PDF context search, then built and themed specialized Drupal Views for product assistant and property-selection workflows.

I also implemented cross-site product sharing to reduce repeated product-data work across the multisite ecosystem, plus custom blog functionality with tagging, featured selections, related-product cross-references, email subscriptions, bulk sending, and engagement tracking.

Outcome

The multisite platform became easier to operate across product discovery, document search, content reuse, and engagement workflows. The work improved how visitors found product and technical information while helping editorial teams reduce duplicated effort across related sites.
